C5 Switch

The C5 Switch is a 5 port 100 BaseT lightly managed Layer 2 Ethernet Switch to provide Ethernet based services to subscribers or end customers in a Metro Ethernet Network based deployment. It enables service providers to deploy a cost-effective ethernet network while maintaining reliability and performance similar to carrier-class Metro-Ethernet access infrastructure. It is remote powered via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and provides power to one more C5 Switch downstream in the network, thereby extending the reach to 300m. It is ideal for deploying Ethernet services in Metro networks, Multi Tenant Units and other access network applications. The C5 Switch is configurable through web interface and from any part of the network. Any browser, which supports HTTP can be used for the management of the switch. It also provides Local Authentication as well as Remote Authentication for Web access.
